My 2015 MLB Midway Season Predictions

It seems as though ever year my baseball predictions flop, and nothing seems to have changed this year. While the Nationals and Royals have excelled so far this season, as I said they would, my pick to win the American League, the Seattle Mariners, haven’t seemed to get anything going this year and are currently sitting in 4th place in the AL West, 7 games under .500. In other words, I shouldn’t have picked them to get to the World Series, and thank god I’m good with predicting NFL stuff otherwise this website might not be here…

Here’s my predicted winners for each division, the NL and AL, and the World Series at the half way point of the 2015 season:

American League

AL East- Orioles: hit to well, know how to win too well

AL Central- Royals: have chemistry, confidence, and oh yeah, really good pitching

AL West- Angels: Mike Trout, Mike Trout, and yeah, Mike Trout

Wild Card #1- Astros: the youth movement is in full swing, and going well (and Dallas Keuchel is unstoppable)

Wild Card #2- Twins: youth movement part 2 (and Torii Hunter just being there)

National League

NL East- Nationals: Bryce Harper, Bryce Harper, and Max Scherzer

NL Central- Pirates: oozing with confidence, pitching staff is ridiculous, and Andrew McCutchen

NL West- Dodgers: money buys you wins, and Joc Pederson is the NL ROY

Wild Card #1- Cardinals: Injuries hurt their chance at winning the Central, still too much talent all over to not make the postseason

Wild Card #2- Giants: Hunter Pence is back, the rotation is finally healthy and solidified, and Matt Duffy is the man (who’s Pablo Sandoval?)

ALCS: Royals vs Angels, Royals in 6

NLCS: Nationals vs Pirates, Nationals in 5

And in the World Series…

Royals vs. Nationals, Nationals in 7
